BuildinG Yada

Building the stuff your

memories are made of!

Hi! We are the Cruikshanks. Josh and Chandra and our four children. Building Yada began with Josh's interest in well, doing what men do- hanging out in the garage. So, he put his time to good use and began building picnic tables.  Yada comes from my own passion to encourage and share the Truth, God's word.

(The definition of yada is a little further down to the left).

Josh and I are high school sweethearts and we just celebrated 10 years of marriage with a vow renewal! Having never had a wedding ceremony, this was a big deal. Not only did I love wearing my wedding dress for my love finally, but through a series of storms in life we have really come to appreciate one another, and marriage. Totally worth celebrating with a vow renewal! Josh also has a full time job managing a car garage and I am a homeschooling, SAHM (stay-at-home mom). This is our story, but what defines us is Christ. Apart from Him...well, we tried a life apart from Him, I did. I won't do it again. Our current storm as I know it is my husband's health. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February of this year, an oligodendroglioma, 2. We don't know what the future has for us but we know the Lord has gone before us and rolled back the stone, revealing His glory.

Gather around Building Yada's tables. Grow to know, enjoy, laugh and dine with your friends, family and guests.

Yada: (Hebrew) to know, be known, and still deeply respected.

It is the strength of a family, a marriage, to know one another and still have deep respect.
